An American slicing cucumber is a common garden/store variety, typically 6-9 inches long, with a thick, sometimes bitter skin that's often waxed for shelf life, large seeds, and a crisp texture, contrasting with thinner-skinned European types.

Plants are in 4" containers and are usually about 4" tall.
