Kale, Toscano

Pick-up only at our retail nursery 5311 Scotts Valley Dr, Scotts Valley, CA during the week of March 21-28. 

Toscano kale, also known as Lacinato, Dinosaur, or Cavolo Nero kale, is a nutritious Italian heirloom variety featuring dark blue-green, heavily textured leaves that resemble dinosaur skin. It offers a sweet, mild, nutty flavor, especially after a frost, making it excellent for soups, salads, sautéing, or kale chips, and is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, plus minerals like calcium and potassium. 

Plants are in six-pack containers and usually 4-6" tall. Expect 1 or 2 plants per cell, so roughly 9 total plants per six-pack.
